Animal Planet promotes the authenticity of their wildlife documentaries by showing animals as photographers in these recent ads. I guess it can’t get more authentic than an animal taping its own species.

The print ads show elephants, blowfish, penguins, and bears at the helm of a video camera.

I like the art direction of having the elephant utilize its trunk in manipulating the camera. But I have to say its execution (photoshopping) is rather poor.

My favorite shot is the penguins. For some reason, they like like guest at wedding taking a group picture in tuxedos.

The campaign was done by DDB Duesseldorf, with creative directors Heiko Freyland, Alexander Reiss; art directors Alexander Reiss, Michael Kittel; cpywriter Heiko Freyland; and ilustrator stefan Kranefeld.

This is really creative. I'm surprised no one has done this before.
