CREO, a consumer technology startup based in the Indian IT hub of Bengaluru, is building a proprietary Android operating system that is designed to offer a unique and comprehensive experience to smartphone users.

The company's CEO Sai Srinivas says that the decision to about building an operating system for Android smartphones was a response to current market conditions in which smartphone hardware is evolving at a rapid rate, but there isn't enough variety and versatility on the software side of things. CREO is looking to bridge that gap.

Ultimately, CREO's Android operating system will enable any smartphone devices they release to exercise complete control over both hardware and software, with the ultimate beneficiaries being consumers who gain from the streamlined and sensible relationship between structure and system.
