This Artist Imagines Cooking Gear Made from the Human Body

Would you have the stomach to cook and eat with these kitchen tools? This unique set of utensils, called Sentient Kitchen, was created by artist Christine Chin. Each is designed to be functional and modeled after a human body part, with the artistic intent of exploring biology and technology's intersection. They definitely aren't for the faint of heart.

The deliberately off-putting aspect of them comes from how they don't glorify the human body at all, but instead include our imperfections, hairs and moles and everything. On top of being basically functional, each includes extra features based on their body part of choice, like a salt shaker that uses a sense of smell to dispense the right amount onto your food.
