Amy Poehler in The Office? You bet! The comedian known best for her sketches on Saturday Night Live is set to star in The Office spin-off series this fall.

Earlier this week, Amy Poehler was nominated for an Emmy for outstanding actress in a comedy series, thanks to her incredibly funny celebrity impersonations, including ones of Hillary Clinton.

Amy Poehler has already proven her abilities as an improv comedian and as an actress in movie roles like Blades of Glory and Baby Mama, but is giving up her late night role on SNL the right move? What if The Office spinoff doesn’t spin so well? It’s a funny risk Poehler is willing to take!

NBC and "Office" creator Greg Daniels have been mum on details about the project. The only actor cast in it so far is comedian Aziz Ansari, but it's thought that the show might be built around a name actor, in much the same way as NBC's remake of the U.K. series is anchored by Steve Carell. Poehler's name was first linked to the "Office" spinoff in April, shortly before the theatrical release of "Baby Mama," in which Poehler and Fey shared top billing. (uk.reuters)
