Unlike conventional air turbines that stay stationary on the ground, the Altaeros BAT wind turbine is built to fly super high to harness the power of high-altitude winds.

The Altaeros BAT is a white, hollowed-out and circular shell. The gigantic shell is attached to two white wings that allows this wind turbine to expertly glide across the sky. The shell is then filled with helium allowing this unconventional wind turbine to soar above the clouds and take in winds several times stronger than the ones felt on the surface of the earth. In doing so, the Altaeros BAT can pump out more energy and provide weather updates, phone signals and power to remote locations. The Altaeros BAT plans to provide people around the world with all-natural energy in an environmentally friendly way.
