Time Machine by Allison Torneros Gains Inspiration From the Void

The new series of paintings by Allison Torneros is a collection of illustrations that portray a formation of abstract imagery through a void of random colors and objects.

Titled 'Time Machine,' the drawings are created by having an initial layer of water color applied in a spontaneous way onto a blank canvas. After it has dried, Torneros looks at the resulting image and draws something based on the influence and emotions that are sparked by the random combination of color, movement and texture. The majority of images incorporate eyes into the artwork, representative of the method in which the artist employs to create her work -- observing and tuning into the offers presented by association and interpretation.

On her website Allison Torneros says, "I am constantly on a search to find a happy medium: between the beautiful and the grotesque, the abstract and the figurative, and that golden moment between sleep and awake." Stats for Cloud-Like Paintings Trending: Older & Average
