The Alienware Graphics Amplifier is a device that allows gaming enthusiasts to turbocharge their notebooks. Every serious gamer knows that laptops simply cannot match desktops when it comes to power, making laptops a liability for gamers. Until now.

This amplifier allows gamers to plug full-size desktop graphics cards to their laptop to give up to 375 watts of power, which is sufficient to power high-end devices like the 4 GB PNY XLR8 GeForce GTX 980. The extra power improves performance and display, with four USB 3.0 ports included for extra convenience.

The Alienware Graphics Amplifier is currently available for sale in the US for $299, and will be available globally during the holiday season. Customers will have to obtain a desktop graphics processing unit to use in conjunction with this device.
