The Alexis Mabille Resort 2014 Collection is the designer's first ever Resort collection where he decided to do things in a Spanish way. Flamenco flounces the runways with tied headscarves, high-waisted trousers and ethereal paisley blouses that grace the skin.

Floral and lace appliqu├ęs in the style of azluejo are also featured in the collection, while long-legged gauncho pants with a slit up the side offer a little glimpse of sass.

The designer's mix of references seems more instinctive than rigorous, especially when it came to integrating sport and menswear elements and various iterations of the bow tie. A few garments stood out like tile print button-downs with full, slashed open sleeves and simply khaki shirt-dresses with blue-toned piping.
