Alberta Ferretti Spring 2009 Campaign

Steven Meisel carries on the French bistro theme he had in the new Louis Vuitton ads featuring Madonna to the Spring/Summer 2009 ad campaign for Alberta Ferretti.

But while the LV collection flaunted hairy fashion and ruffled undies that Madonna expertly modeled, the new Alberta Ferretti pieces showcased in this shoot feature a heavy throwback to early 1900s style.

The campaign features three models: Kinga, Mina Cvetkovic and Viktoriya Sasonkina.

Implications - With so many new technologies emerging each day, shoppers are looking for styles that are reminders of the past. Classic aesthetics are appealing to consumers who are tired of the onslaught of over exaggerated fashions. Designers could focus on this desire for more simplicity in order to attract more customers.
