Inspired by Mexican architect Luis Barragán, the Akris Resort 2014 Collection is definitely a swing and hit thanks to creative director Albert Kriemler. You can expect to see pink stucco walls translated into color-block blouses and skirts with slanted camel panels down the waist and flowering trees in the form of vibrant coats, bags and trousers.

The main colors of the collection are fuchsia and azure blue, while Kriemler's other big obsession this season is fabric development in the form of a wool suit made with ten percent polyester.

Expect a double-face wool coat as fine as cashmere, but not as delicate. Like architecture, these fashions are built to last and adopt certain qualities like architectural lines and abstract cityscapes to hint at an elevated understanding of Barragán's work.
