The Akris Fall 2014 Collection is facing its tenth year with Albert Kriemler showing his Akris collection in Paris. It's a milestone that the Swiss designer celebrates in collaboration with artist Thomas Ruff. Kriemler himself is a certified art lover, choosing seven of Ruff's cosmic-inspired images and digitally reproducing them across several looks in the last third of the show.
The Night Series is a group of works that Ruff has created using residual light amplifiers in urban areas around Düsseldorf from 1992-1996, where the collection features otherworldly green over trapeze capes and matching suiting.
Like Ruff's art, the collection is cosmic, printed with vivd images and bright colors that not only catch the eye, but pick the brain as well. Kriemler's expert handling of two-tone astrakhan dresses proves why he's a major player.
