This ad-free Vogue issue was created by copywriter Joseph G Davies who wanted to bring awareness to just how many advertisements are in every issue of Vogue.
When people think about Vogue, they know that the September issue is by far the most important. The superstar editor Anna Wintour even starred in a documentary called 'The September Issue,' which tracked all the hard behind-the-scenes work that goes into creating this outstanding issue.
The copywriter based in Seoul, Korea decided to take the 902 page magazine and get rid of 70% of it, which is how much space was used for ads. He used a knife to cut out all the advertisements. As for the pages he couldn't cut out, he blacked them out with permanent marker. While he's trying to make a point, I can't imagine advertisers or the Vogue staff being too thrilled with this.
Chances are, however, it'll be hard for people to buy this, as he's charging $4.8 million for the ad-free Vogue magazine.
