Artisan Howard Dernberger finds numerous vintage items and forges them into works of art called ‘1 Light Art Lamps.’

The gallery on his website is terrific, but you have to realize they’re truly one-of-a-kind, and they’re only there, as Dernberger says, “to open your mind to new possibilities in lighting.”

Not only can you see the latest work of Dernberger via a CD he’ll send you if you ask him, but he’ll also take a favorite antique piece of yours and shape it into a lamp for you as well.

The overall goal of Dernberger is to shape the lamp in a unique way, while maintaining the integrity of the pieces used to create it.
