Goodnight Dune is a Nerdy Remix of a Classic Children's Story

It seems science fiction has found a new love interest in children’s literature, as best shown with Goodnight Dune. Geeky Bedtime Stories, anyone? With a book titled Goodnight Dune written and released by Julia Yu, you’re sure to please the little nerd or nerdette in your life. The book incorporates a classic bedtime story, Good Night Moon by Margaret Wise Brown and Frank Herbet’s science fiction novel-turned-movie Dune. What a combination!

Why say good night to a rocking chair or a pair of mittens when you can say good night to “two imperial sardaukar and a pair of gom jabbar?” I do love the original Goodnight Moon, which is about a child wishing goodnight to everything, but Goodnight Dune by Julia Yu leaves a lot more room for the imagination to run free. Plus, who doesn’t love a friendly alien?
