The `80s continue to be a resourceful time period for the marketing community. This year Reebok brought into the public eye some interesting shoe projects, making its rivals even copy some of the patterns launched. Fortunately, there are plenty of things to get inspired and step up in such a competitive market.
If in 2006 Reebok tried through I Am What I Am campaign to get into the “cool gang” in the shoes business. One of the pairs used Basquiat trademark signature.
But perseverance works and for the 2009 Fall campaign Reebok took the best and most known graphic symbols of Basquiat and used them for some amazing pairs of shoes. Whether it’s a piece of Basquiat’s paintings “Pegasus” or “Beat Bop”, the details on the shoes capture the artistic vision of the author. Quite an investment for a shoe passionate!
