adidas has fused the brand's historic past with the future by creating 3D-printed Superstars. No other shoe model has been more synonymous with the athletic retailer, and this all-black version of the throwback shoe has been made using an entirely modern technology.

adidas has been experimenting with 3D printing shoes through the use of a technology called Futurecraft 3D. The first shoe released in this manner was the Ultra-Boost running shoe a few months ago. The brand recently took to Twitter to release images of its most recognizable sneaker styled in black and constructed through this rather futuristic method. This particular version of the 3D-printed Superstar is almost indistinguishable from the original shoe released almost 40 years ago. adidas plans to continue to use Futurecraft technology, so expect to see more 3D-printed sneakers in the future.
