Mini-me's are made real with this clever and fun new way of taking pictures. Otome 3D will be opening the world's first 3D printing photo booth in Harajuku, Japan.
The mini 3D models are made by scanning the visitors' body, a process which takes about 15 minutes. From there, the figure is printed from a 3D colour printer which can print out the figures in three different sizes. The sizes and prices are as follows: Small (Max. 10cm, 20g), US$264; Medium (Max. 15cm, 50g), US$403; Large (Max. 20cm, 200g), US$528.
While the prices are a bit steep, the company is offering families and couples discounts. But the mini 3D figure can also be adjusted to your liking before you leave. The colour of the hair and the clothing can be changed to whatever you want.
