Some Are Naughty, Some Are Nice

35 Good Vibrations - Some Are Naughty, Some Are Nice (CLUSTER)

We all know that adult toys and cell phones use it, but most of us don’t realize that the shakes, quivers, tremors, pulses, throbs, and shivers of what we call vibration make our world what it is. Mechanical, social and biological systems all depend upon vibration.

There are sound vibrations that let us hear and amplify voice and music, appreciate chirping birds, or enjoy the sound of our own footsteps. Noise vibrations are also sound, but we don’t necessarily want to hear them. Products are usually designed to enhance the sounds that we enjoy and minimize the sounds that we don’t—controlled vibration.

We perceive other types of vibrations as motion. They alert us as alarms. They soothe or excite us in massage. They frighten us with earthquakes.

Vibration is so important that there are whole bodies of science devoted to its study. There’s even a Vibration Institute to bring ‘vibratatologists’ together.

This cluster is a sample of vibratory goodies. Since we could not exist without vibration, I say, “It’s all good.”
