Trend Hunter Annie Ho is not shy about proclaiming her love for comic books, as her favorite superhero mashup video entitled 22 Batman Characters in 40 Seconds can attest to. Aside from talking about her adoration for Batman, she also discusses her time working at Trend Hunter. Some of the highlights include how incredible a feeling it was for her to have 900 articles published during her internship, and also emphasizes how great it was to work in an environment where free beer and fun days were a frequent occurrence.
What is your favorite trend and why?
My favorite trend comes from the theme of quirky cartoon characters. This one is specifically for Batman called 22 Batman Characters in 40 Seconds. I am a huge, huge comic book fan, and am excited because The Dark Night is coming out soon.
How do you define cool?
I define cool as something spontaneous, something no one has ever touched upon and something that is unexpected.
What do you enjoy most about Trend Hunter?
My favorite part about working for Trend Hunter is the fact that you get to have fun when working and the energy is off the charts. We usually also have fun days for the interns. We went to an African Lion Safari, we went on this riff-raff boat and we got free food and free beer on Fridays. You can’t miss out on that!
What’s your favorite accomplishment?
My favorite accomplishment is the fact that I got to publish 900 articles because I look back at it now and think 900 articles, that is insane! I am proud of that. Trend Hunter is the perfect opportunity to get your portfolio out there.
What advice would you give to the business world?
My biggest advice for the business world is to get on social media. Seriously, everything is social media. There is not one company who does not have a Facebook page, a Twitter page, a Pinterest page.
What are the remarkable ways you see businesses changing?
One of the most remarkable ways that business has changed is that social media has opened the doors up. Traditionally you would see a billboard for an ad, but now when you go online you can actually see the product information.
Any last thoughts about Trend Hunter?
Trend Hunter is an awesome place to intern . You get to have fun, you get to build an awesome portfolio and with that comes a lot of job opportunities. I get people inboxing me through my Facebook asking if I’d like to write for them. On top of that you get to have fun and get free beer!
