What will be your favorite 2013 food? Better yet, which foods will become more popular in restaurants overall in the new year? Do menus even really change from one year to the next? This infographic looks at the top 2013 food choices and answers all of these questions.
More than 1,800 chefs from the American Culinary Federation weighed in with their opinions for this survey. One of the major issues effecting 2013 food in restaurants is the rising price of ingredients. Only 4% say the solution is raising menu prices. This measure, of course, would not be very popular with patrons.
Most (32%) say they will be adjusting their menus (as in food choices) to combat rising food prices. 25% say their solution is adjusting plate compositions to include cheaper alternatives.
