It will take two years, but Germany’s Volkswagen (VW) plans to offer a hybrid version for all its models. Martin Winterkorn, CEO of VW, has confirmed that the company is currently working on a small hybrid that will be introduced into the marketplace “fairly quickly.”

(President Bush almost plugged an electrical cord into the hydrogen tank of Ford’s hydrogen-electric plug-in hybrid at the White House recently, so caviat emptor).

Volkswagen is planning to offer a hybrid version for every model starting in about two years, according to Germany's Auto Bild newspaper. A decision has not yet been made on what electric components would be used for which model. But there are plans for both a micro-hybrid system with a battery charged by braking regeneration energy and a full hybrid solution, according to the paper. (lifestyle.monstersandcritics)

that will be a good news for VW consumers, except that its auto parts that they have taken care will be just a waste of spending for them, isn't it?
