Observed each year on May 31, the member states of the World Health Organization created World No Tobacco Day back in 1987. The theme of the World No Tobacco Day 2009 is “Tobacco Health Warnings.”
Implications - The PSA is probably the most difficult project an ad agency can receive. Particularly with anti-smoking campaigns, consumers know the health risks involved and thus, the traditional approach of giving a list of reasons to call someone to care about an issue will not suffice. These anti-smoking campaigns demonstrate great, non-traditional approaches to the issue.
