From Heart-Tracking Arm Bands to Virtual Reality Shoes

The top wearable devices from CES 2017 show just how far that technological concept has come in a short amount of time. Not long ago, most wearables on the market amounted to little more than pedometers. Devices like the Apple Watch and Google Glass soon showed the potential for various types of wearables, and that potential has only grown with the new products and concepts on display this year at CES 2017.

As technology gets smaller, companies have been able to pack the same functionality into more discreet packages. The Motiv Ring is a great example of this shrinking of wearable devices from CES 2017. Though it looks like a minimalist piece of jewelry, the ring tracks everything from steps and distance covered to heart rate and calories burned.
