From Raw Salmon Branding to Individual Lobster Packets

From fish to lobsters, food from the sea is often thought of as expensive and labor-intensive to prepare, but these seafood packaging designs put an emphasis on consumer ease. Designs from Dinner for N, Fishpeople and MOIRAI make it easy to create an entire meal around seafood, as ideas can be sourced from the images on product packages. Simplicity can also be used to describe Master Lobster packets, which contain a single individually frozen lobster from Prince Edward Island.

In a number of seafood packaging designs, it's common for consumers to be given a peek at a product through a cut-out window. While a clear panel will often suffice, many brands are calling out this detail with watercolor designs or inventive shapes. In the case of a smoked mackerel packaging concept called 'Count on Me,' attention is called to a product with humorous text that reads: "I'm a good catch."
