From Suspension Sightseeing to Flesh Hooking Rituals

The ritual suspension community uses strategically placed body piercings as methods to lift pierced individuals off the ground. Unlike other forms of body modification, most suspension piercings are only done to suspend the individual and are removed after the suspension.

An experienced practitioner performs the ritual suspension process, from the initial piercings to lacing hooks through the piercings and finally lifting the individual off the ground with only his or her piercings holding him stable. Some practitioners use suspension during meditation, while others just do it for fun.

These ritual suspension innovations show how this ancient practice has evolved for modern tastes. From play piercing to body corsets and suspended sightseeing, these contemporary forms of suspension don't stray far from their traditional roots.
