Clown couture runways and flashback hair editorials have both featured aggressive pompadours. While the theme is current, appearing time and time again in the seasonal issues of Vogue Australia, 160 G Magazine and I Love You Magazine, the movement is nonetheless a throwback to the 1950s. Raised coifs such as these ones were once essential to the daily and of course, nightly, lives of women of decades past. Given its clear malleability, it is no wonder that it has resurfaced.
