Before the Olympics, Michael Phelps was not very well known, but in the few weeks of the Beijing games, he’s become a cult obsession.  The reason is simple.  Unlike almost any Olympics in past history, China’s Beijing 2008 Olympics had an all around champion - Michael Phelps. 

Over the last few weeks, the media has covered dozens of Phelps stories, from his record breaking games to his text messaging with Lindsay Lohan.
