George Takei will marry Brad Altman today in Los Angeles, mere months after California's Supreme Court lifted the ban on gay marriage.
George Takei, 71, who is best known for his role as Mr. Sulu on Star Trek, said, "We've been living in sin for the past 21 years. It's high time we made it legitimate."
George Takei's gay marriage to his 54-year-old partner is getting a lot of media buzz, just as several other gay celebrity couples have managed to stir up recently, like Ellen Degeneres and Portia de Rossi and Lindsay Lohan her lover, DJ Samantha Ronson.
"The wedding party includes two of Takei's former Star Trek castmates best man Walter Koenig, who played Chekov on the series, and Nichelle Nichols, who played Uhura," People.com says.
