The Electrolux Scan Toaster

I’ve seen a lot of innovative kitchen gadgets, but the Electrolux Scan Toaster is seriously near the top of the list when it comes to crazy home innovation. It actually burns information from the internet onto your breakfast.

Bready for the details? The cutting edge toaster torches your morning Wonderbread with precision to deliver you the most current news, images or even the day’s weather report! It was designed by Sung Bae Chang, a student at Sejong University in South Korea for the Electrolux Design Lab 2008. The toaster hooks up to your computer via USB which transfers the designated ‘burning’ content.

Sounds a bit too good to be true… Except for one small thing: we will all be destined to start our days with marshmallow-white bread, because I can’t imagine it being capable of burning dark enough to read the forecast on my 12 grain bread.
