Real Divorces Over Virtual Love Affairs

What happens online stays online, right? Well, not anymore. A woman is suing her husband and asking for divorce after he cheated on her in the online virtual world of Second Life. The wife explained to a divorce court that she walked in on her husband pretending to have sex in an online game.

Her estranged husband is now engaged to one of the women he had an ‘affair’ with on Second Life, even though they have never actually met in real life.

Nice and normal then, all around. Despite this freak-or-unique couple, it is interesting to see that virtual cheating is now considered grounds for divorce.

For those who like a happier ending, check out the video for a $6,500 Second Life wedding. Still strange.
