Jeans are a staple in every wardrobe, but basic blue jeans are giving way not only to different cuts and colors but also innovative and sometimes startlingly expensive embellishments. Denim is also becoming the fabric of choice for items other than pants. Recycled jeans are being turned into furniture, shoes, masks. and artwork, while basic blue jeans are dipped, dyed, bespangled, ripped, and rolled to catch and keep our attention.
Implications - Denim is great for consumers looking to cut back on costs; an old pair of jeans can easily be turned into stylish cut-off shorts or reworked into a purse or one-of-a-kind handbag or clutch!
