From presidential beers to TV character wines, the April 2016 pop culture trends reveal that consumers are just as tuned into the presidential election as they are to their favorite TV shows.

Although the election may still be several months away, many consumers are eager to get their hands on products that help them show their support for their favorite candidate. This is particularly true of Bernie Sanders fans, who can now purchase coloring books and craft beers dedicated to the senator. For those supporting other candidates, Bumble rolled out a feature that allows users to brand their profiles with a filter indicating their political leanings.

Despite the buzz surrounding the election, the April 2016 pop culture trends also reveal a continued interest in products that help consumers connect with their favorite TV shows. For example, Actor Tituss Burgess is now selling a wine based on the character he plays on Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. In a similar vein, the cast of Empire teamed up with Covergirl to launch a series of cosmetics based on their on-screen looks.
