From Angelina Jolie in ‘Changeling’ to Flapper Dresses

Angelina Jolie has received rave reviews for her performance in “Changeling,” a film set in the 1920s about a mother who refuses to accept that a strange boy is her missing son. Angelina Jolie reenacts the real life story about a mother whose son was kidnapped; as the police try to convince her a found boy is hers, she discovers the child may belong to someone else.

The Clint Eastwood film shows Angelina Jolie in an incredible performance where she fully gets into character, making viewers believe they are seeing a glimpse back in time to 1928 LA.

So, from flapper girls to burlesque cabarets, the slideshow below is a tribute to the 1920s and 30s. It’s fascinating to see how many pop culture themes of today are still influenced by the roaring 20s and the jazz age.
