Angelina Jolie went to Afghanistan for the first time after being deeply touched by refugees. Once in Afghanistan, the Goodwill Ambassador for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees broke down in tears. Respectfully, she dressed in traditional Afghan apparel when she went to visit Nangarhar and Kabul, but even below the robes she couldn’t hide her emotions.
"Since the fall of the Taliban in 2001 more than five million Afghans have returned home," Angelina Jolie said. "Afghanistan has been struggling to absorb these massive returns. "They have suffered so much yet they remain gracious," the Mirror quoted Angelina.
