Non-traditional characters replace classic superheros in contemporary comics
Implications - The role of the classic superhero has always been to possess qualities to which one can aspire. The average person, however, is hard-pressed to relate to a character who can fly or fight villains; instead, he or she might prefer to see comics applied to day-to-day situations and normal people, whether it’s a comic about social media, a fashion editorial with graphic novel styling or a TV show turned comic.
