This demographic cohort has a higher level of discretionary income relative to prior generations, as well as vastly different preferences and mindsets, such as a greater familiarity with modern technology (and the willingness to spend money on it), lower level of religiosity and an entrepreneurial -- rather than rebellious -- nature. A deeper understanding of Millennials' needs and demands will give marketers and brands a significant opportunity to gain attention from this heavy-spending consumer segment.
