On the way to becoming a more “genderless” society
Implications - Androgynous clothing created waves in the fashion industry last year, countering conventional ideals of what constitutes men’s and women’s fashion. This year, the gender-bending aesthetic continues, with more designers entering the “genderless” territory with makeup and jewelry made for both men and women. What is more intriguing, however, is that even schools are beginning to implement gender-neutral teachings, educating children at a young age to be less concerned with traditional masculine and feminine stereotypes and more concerned with individuality.
