A study that at San Diego’s University revealed that people who drink coffee have a lower risk of getting ill from type 2 diabetes. Also small risk of getting ill from diabetes for people who stopped drinking coffee.
They don’t know the reason form that as they called it surprising defensive effect, but it is for sure that it’s not caffeine because in the research decaffeinate coffee was also tested.
The study was performed on 910 men and women who were 50 years or older and healthy. Eight years later the people that stopped drinking coffee and those who were drinking coffee were less likely to show any symptoms. The scientists don’t yet know how much coffee you need to drink so you can have defense from diabetes but this is cool news for coffee drinkers everywhere.
