Soft Wooden Sleepers
The Elisa Strozyk Wooden Daybed Design Debuts in Milan

By: Cody Turner (Star) Jul 5, 12
{SummaryTitle}

Elisa Strozyk has created another amazing wood-based design with her Wooden Daybed. The Daybed was created using paper-thin wood pieces, quilting them together in a very unique style. For anyone who is familiar with the works of Elisa Strozyk, this piece falls right in line with the rest of her body of work.

The Wooden Daybed was designed for an exhibition called The Threads That Binds Us, held in Milan and curated by Barbara Brondi and Marco Raino during Milan Design Week 2012.

Elisa Strozyk says on her site that, “The fabric appears to be a common upholstery textile but transforms into a free grown shape which is autonomous from the furniture piece.” The daybed was based off of a found object from the early 1950s.
