Numerous documentaries have been made following the life and times of popular celebrities, but the William Shatner ‘Get A Life’ film turns the cameras on his devoted Star Trek fans.

William Shatner is an actor who became famous for his role as Captain James T. Kirk aboard the starship USS Enterprise in the television series Star Trek. Shatner, 81, directs this doc which focuses on the many fans of the popular TV series and on how the show has influenced their lives. The trailer shows an in-depth look into the Star Trek conventions that still take place and the interestingly dressed individuals that attend.

Get A Life premiers at Comic-Con on July 14 and on EPIX on July 28th. This documentary is truly bringing new meaning to the infamous phrase, “boldly going where no man has gone before.”
