Art has inspired the world in so many ways (as has the world inspired art), that it shouldn’t seem so strange that it would now influence the Whirlpool KitchenAid ad campaign. With the slogan, “For 92 years, cooking has been art to us,” it is made even clearer the connection between various painting styles and the iconic mixer of the KitchenAid collection.
Conceived and executed by Brazil-based ad agency DDB, the Whirlpool KitchenAid ad campaign centers on six different painting styles: art deco, art nouveau, pop art, Brazilian modernism, modernism and surrealism. Each print ad explains the tie between that style and the tools provided by Whirlpool KitchenAid. For instance, one ad states, “Before Pop Art was brought together art and everyday life, KitchenAid was doing that in the kitchen, turning dishes into masterpieces.”
