It may not initially seem like the most natural combination of home appliances, but a closer consideration of the hybrid Washit system will easily uncover a truly ingenious and economical solution. A submission for an iF Concept Design Award for 2012, the inventive fixture improves everything about the way that most people clean their clothes and themselves.

The standing shower requires no significantly new know-how to operate. You simply rinse your body as usual and the gray water that goes down the drain is collected and recycled for use in the conjoined washing machine. The liquid is run through a series of purifying filters before it comes in contact with fabric.

With the revolving compartment accessible from inside or out, the Washit express-freshens your laundry, enables small manageable loads and has great potential for domestic and public installation.
