The Vondom Faz Daybed is a Covered Couch for Lounging Out of Doors

Not all luxurious looks, the Vondom Faz Daybed has a clever configuration that serves a pair of functions. This lavish outdoor lounger has an awning that acts as a parasol for its user as well as a cover to protect its plush cushions from the weather.

Ramon Esteve’s design seems inspired by a clam or oyster shell with its integration of a reclined sofa seat with a hinged upper cover. The entire piece has been sculpted to take a symmetrical but abstract geoform composition with a finish in an immaculate white. The beveled triangular faces that shape the surfaces of the Vondom Faz Daybed celebrate its synthetic materiality and assert it as an example of contemporary design.
