Sustainable Twin Towers
Vikas Pawar Designs an Eco-Friendly Set of Towers for Northern India

By: Michael Hines (Superstar) Jun 16, 11
{SummaryTitle}

Vikas Pawar is an Indian architect who has designed a sustainable set of towers for Northern India which are expected to provide both food and shelter. The aptly named Eco Skyscrapers have a unique look that incorporates sustainable technology such as wind turbines and photovoltaic panels.

The skyscraper is designed to house families and farms using an advanced hydroponic system to cultivate crops. Speaking of water, the Eco Skyscraper would feature a technologically advanced system designed to pull the moisture out of humid air and convert it into drinking water. While Vikas Pawar certainly seems futuristic, it doesn’t seem unreasonable. Judging by all of the sustainable skyscrapers that have been conceptualized recently, it is safe to say that designs like Pawar’s will be the norm instead of the exception in the future.
