Purposely Clashing Sneakers
Vans Recently Releases Mis-Matched Shoes in a Collaboration Collection

Legendary shoe company Vans has announced the release of its Vans Vault X Engineered Garments collection. The twist is that every pair is non-identical (with the exception of the ‘Vans Authentics’).

The collaboration is made between nostalgic 1970s surf apparel Vans and New York designer Daiki Suzuki’s menswear line called Engineered Garments. In utilizing some of the already popular Vans models (the Vans Authentic and the Vans Slip-On), and meshing them with Suzuki’s sport and military inspirations, the outcome is a minimalist blend of hues and colors.

As noted, what is most interesting are the Vans Slip-On models, which have been purposely mismatched. Each pair reverses their leather and suede placement, making these a truly unique release. The collection will launch September 10th at Nepenthes New York, retailing for under $100.
