Besom-Resembling Hoovers
The Hi-Tech Vacuun Cleaner Imitates the Iconic Duo of Broom and Bucket

By: Amelia Roblin (Superstar) Sep 12, 12
{SummaryTitle}

For tidying up dirt, dust and debris, one precursor to the hoover was the whisk broom. The familiar motion of sweeping the bristled stick across the floor is afforded by the Vacuun Cleaner, a modern domestic machine that marries convention with the cutting-edge.

A mop of slender and flexible polyethylene tubes makes up the head of the electronic broomstick, and the tips of these are what suck up the scraps. What’s collected is stored inside a vacuum bag in the shaft that’s easy to remove by detaching the head.

Patrick Pedrosa’s vacuum cleaner system includes a pail-like object as well. This is the charger of the Braun Prize 2012 entry. After you’ve lodged the Vacuun Cleaner inside the central aperture of the bucket, an LCD screen indicates the level of the battery.
