In this uplifting graduation speech from Muhtar Kent, the CEO of Coca-Cola, he discusses how the world today is polluted by far too much pessimism and how it is lacking appreciation and thankfulness. On the other side, however, he sees today as the most exciting and inspiring time ever.The general message of his speech is to motivate the graduating students to find it in themselves to rise above people’s judgements and expectations and to create something miraculous.

He then draws a parallel between business, government and civil society. The opprotunity to create great value between the three institutions is now a possibility thanks to the exent to which the world is now connected. Ideas can flow much faster and information can be obtained in second.

Muhtar Kent ends his uplifting graduation speech by stating that “today is better than yesterday, and tomorrow will be than today.”
