The TWEE-Q site aims to analyze how often men and women are re-tweeted in the Twitter-sphere, as gender equality is a hot topic all around the world. Although we live in the twenty first century, there are still issues of inequality that exists, especially in the business world.
Social media has become a daily part of many people’s lives. Revolutions across the world have been grass-rooted through sites like Facebook and Twitter. This raises an important question: how much impact do both men versus women have in terms of influence? Is each sex being given adequate amounts of attention? This is what the TWEE-Q platform aims to determine. By simply plugging in a Twitter handle, the system analyzes a user’s latest 100 tweets and determines the male to female ratio of retweets.
