The Tube Map Radio solidifies artist Yrui Suzuki as a circuit board genius. First he created the Denzi Puzzle, which is loosely based on circuitry, and now he has designed an actual circuit board, the aesthetics of which have been modeled after the London Underground layout. Although most people would find the Tube Map Radio intriguing enough for its looks, it has been taken to the next level. Suzuki carefully crafted it so that it is a working radio.
Created in collaboration with engineer Masahiko Shindo, the Tube Map Radio was inspired by various media sources such as ‘Secret Life of Machines,’ a British television show. It will be displayed at the Design Museum London.
