Whimsical Futuristic Lighting
The Treble Chandelier Seems Inspired by Lite-Brite

The Treble Chandelier looks like it is made up of thousands of Lite-Brite pegs. Instead, this one-of-a-kind lighting masterpiece is simply fashioned out of 3,000 hand-soldered, sharp-focus LEDs. Of course, that is hugely impressive in and of itself.

Created by Jason Krugman in collaboration with Sam Baron for Fabrica, United Colors of Benetton’s Communications Research Center based in Treviso, Italy, the Treble Chandelier has a traditional aesthetic due to its typical chandelier shape. Yet, the materials used give it a whimsical, futuristic look that will surely appeal to many. Sadly, it is an art piece more than anything else. So unless a lighting company takes some cues from the Treble Chandelier, it will remain solely as part of Krugman’s Organic Electric series.

The Treble Chandelier debuted during the Next Cabane exhibition.
